pod Inter Galactic Traveller is also known as the Memory Badge Spaceman because he has a magical memory badge where he stores memories of people he meets, places he visits and facts he wants to remember. If he feels sad or lonely on his adventures, he only needs to touch his badge and it reminds him that someone is always thinking about him and that makes him smile.

Pod IGT has a memory badge pack that brings comfort and smiles to children who are apart from loved ones. The pack consists of a colouring story book about how he got his badge; colouring pencils and a self assembly badge kit. Children can make their own badge to remind them of someone they are missing and take it with them wherever they go. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge think it is a great idea.

The badge pack has been used by members of armed forces families during deployment; prisoner’s associations for family days; for bereavement, hospital stays and going to school for the first time and is now being used by fostering associations.

As well as comfort and smiles, pod IGT also helps stimulate children’s imagination, builds self confidence ad educates about serious issues in a fun way. A challenge at the end of each website page encourages children to find out more for themselves.

podIGT’s philosophy is that all people and cultures are the same in some ways and different in others but that’s OK. During his travels through the Universe he has met many creatures who all look different on the outside but he discovered that they were all the same on the inside – they laughed and cried, felt happy and sad and all wanted to be loved for who they were. His philosophy is that if we treat each other with respect the world will be a better place.

I think we could all learn from pod IGT’s philosophy. Don’t you?
